Doddle & Co. Safety and Care

Prior to using, sanitize The POP Pacifier by boiling in water for 5 minutes. Rotate it in all directions to remove trapped water and allow to cool prior to use. Give it a shake to make sure all excess water is removed, particularly in areas that are harder to dry and reach (the inside of the nipple where water can get trapped, especially). This is to ensure hygiene.

Never dip the teat in sweet substances or medication, your child may get tooth decay.

For day to day cleaning, wash in the dishwasher or by hand with warm soapy water. Dry it completely (see “trapped water” note, above).

Clean before every use. For hygiene and safety, replace pacifier after about 2 months of use.

For your child’s safety WARNING! Inspect carefully before each use. Pull the pacifier in all directions. Throw away at the first signs of damage or weakness. Only use dedicated pacifier holders tested to EN 12586. Never attach other ribbons or cords to a pacifier, your child may be strangled.

To prevent a possible choking hazard, check for tears or bite marks before each use, especially when the child has teeth. Pull the bubble and nipple in all directions. Any tear or bite mark can lead to the separation of pieces. If pieces separate, discard entire product immediately. Discontinue use if any tears or bite marks appear. Do not attach ribbons or cords through the ventilation holes. Do not leave baby unattended while using pacifier. Keep away from pets.

Do not leave a pacifier in direct sunlight or near a source of heat, or leave in disinfectant (sterilizing solution) for longer than recommended, as this may weaken the teat. In the event that the pacifier becomes lodged in the mouth, don’t panic. Really, keep calm; it cannot be swallowed and is designed to cope with such an event. Remove from mouth with care, as gently as possible. Conforms to all US and Canadian pacifier safety standards.

ezpz Safety and Care

ezpz products are different than anything else on the market.

Each product is an all-in-one placemat + plate / bow made from 100% high quality silicone that is BPA, BPS, PVC and phthalate free.  Silicone doesn’t support the growth of fungus, mold or bacteria and without tiny crevices to capture old food, they are really easy to keep clean and sanitary. ezpz mats are also bendable and flexible and doesn’t fade, corrode or deteriorate.

Yes, all ezpz products are dishwasher safe.

Though, we have found that rinsing with warm soapy water works just as well (if not better).  Sometimes dishwasher detergents can leave a residue on the mats (see below).

What if i see soap or water spots on my mat after washing, or if my mat “tastes soapy”?

ezpz products are dishwasher safe, but we have been getting some feedback that sometimes, food tastes “soapy” after washing them. The good news is that ezpz’s high quality silicone does not absorb tastes or smells. ⠀

Phosphate-free dishwashing detergents may cause silicone dishes to end up with water spots or hold onto certain smells / tastes. It’s not considered a risk to your children, and adding some white vinegar or a non-toxic rinse aid to your wash cycle can solve it.⠀We recommend using the steam and dry settings on your dishwasher and increasing the distance between the mat(s) and other dishes (space will allow the dishwasher to clean the detergent thoroughly).⠀

If there are water spots or soapy smells, you can wipe the mat with a wet washcloth or with white vinegar and hot water or better yet, give them a soak in hot water and white vinegar.

ezpz products are safe for the microwave. And the oven too.

Yes, the mats are safe to use in the microwave. They are oven safe too (up to 350 degrees).

ezpz products are easy to store.

ezpz products allow for smarter storage! Mats fit in most kitchen cupboards or you can stack in a utensil drawer. No more mismatched bowls and plates!  Do not roll up your Happy Mat, it might affect the “flatness” of the mat, and then the suction. If you want a smaller mat for travel, the mini mat was invented for this purpose (and it comes with a reusable case) or you can pop it into a wet bag.

ezpz Happy Mats can be stacked and carried.

Yes, you can. The Happy Mat’s silicone is sturdy, which means you can carry 3-4 mats (plus food!) to and from the table. You can also stack 2-3 Happy Bowls. Mini Mats, however, aren’t as “stackable” due to the smaller dimensions of the mat.

ezpz products suction to clean, flat surfaces. If yours does not suction, read this.

ezpz mats need to be clean to suction. Sometimes dust, dirt or even soap can affect the suction. Give the mats a soak in hot water and vinegar to release any residue left behind on your mat.

ezpz products need a clean flat surface to suction to. Granite, smooth wood, melamine, glass all work wonderfully. Harvest tables or picnic tables with ridges wont work as well. There is still plenty of reasons to use ezpz in this situation but it probably wont stick.

The Mini Mat does not fit on the following highchair trays: the Stokke Tripp Trapp, the Boon Flair, the Nuna Zaaz, the Keekaroo, the Ingenuity ChairMate (Easton), the Safety 1st Beaumont and the Abiie Beyond Wooden Highchair. The high-gloss finish of the Oxo Sprout and Graco DuoDiner Highchairs hinder the Mini Mat’s suction function.  We say ditch the highchair tray and push your infant / toddler up to the table with the rest of the family!

When placing your ezpz down on the table or tray, it might help to “plop” it down from a quarter of an inch or so. The little drop onto the surface will help the air become trapped which helps the suction function. We also suggest pressing down around the edges of the mat to make sure there is an adequate seal.

Do the edges lie flat or the lip curves up? Very rarely a defective mat slips through the cracks.Specifically, these mats don’t lie completely flat, which hinders the suction function. If you believe you have a defective mat please email us at [email protected] with a picture of your mat. We will provide a replacement immediately!
