Hip Mommies Does Good.

At Hip Mommies, we feel like we can use our business to do better. We look to partner with suppliers that are good people, that support good causes and that choose to do business ethically. Giving back is a huge part of what we do.

In our own day-to-day operations, we make a concerted effort to minimize waste and to maximize the impact that we can make on our community. Giving back is important to us. On top of doing outreach to families in our area, we partner with other companies and associations throughout the year who we think make a difference.

The Hip Mommies team is committed to making the world a better place, and to doing what we can to support small business and Canadian families.

We are fortunate enough to work with some incredible brands, like ezpz, who have a huge heart, and so a tonne to support the special needs community. Lindsey Laurain, the founder of ezpz,  has dedicated resources to make proper eating techniques and awareness of appropriate developmental milestones a focus of their company. More specifically, she hired Dawn Winkelmann, M.S., CCC-SLP, as the Special Needs Program Coordinator and Feeding Specialist. As such, ezpz’s products are tested and approved by Dawn (and other therapists) to ensure that neuro-typical children, as well as kids with special needs, can use our products.

Additionally, ezpz is honoured to be part of the Changing the Face of Beauty campaign. This campaign involves highlighting individuals with disabilities as models in the media and advocating for other commercial retailers to do the same. ezpz supports this movement not only because their products have helped children (and adults) with disabilities, but also because we all love seeing the beautiful faces of ezpz customers and models with Down syndrome, autism, low vision, cerebral palsy… just to name a few. We will continue to work with our retailers and other small business parters to support local initiatives in communities across Canada. If you are interested in working with us to help make a difference, please reach out.

The Hip Mommies Happy & Healthy Family Scholarship. to the Bebo Mia Maternal Support Practitioner certification program.

Globally, women, especially women with children and dependants in their care, miss out on educational opportunities which could lead to an earning potential. This is why the team behind bebo mia are on a mission to support women in connecting to their intrinsic value and power.

Each year bebo mia inc. offers scholarship placements to women in financial need so that they can complete their Maternal Support Practitioner training and launch their doula careers. This year they stepped it up a notch by including sponsors so they could make the scholarship accessible to more women.

Hip Mommies is very proud to be a sponsor of this initiative, not only because the team behind bebo mia is so inspiring, but because we are thrilled to help a woman start a career that they have been dreaming of. The Hip Mommies Happy & Healthy Family Scholarship provides 100% subsidized tuition to a low or no income woman for Maternal Support Practitioner (doula) certification.

Giving Back is Important to us. We choose to support the following associations.

We are proud supporters of mom-owned businesses.

Consider yourself a momboss? The majority of the brands we work with are mom-owned and most of our products are invented by a mother. Supporting women-owned business is important to us, and collaborating with other mom entrepreneurs is a passion of ours. Want to learn more about our mom-centric brands?
