As a child of a small business owner, many of my memories include hiding behind boxes in my father’s warehouse, helping the bookkeepers sort invoices, or spending weekends minding the front cash. Now, my husband and I (also the product of a family run business) are entrepreneurs. It takes immersing your life and your family into a business to really understand the hustle. What is the Story behind your business? Why choose the world of baby?
In a previous life I spent two years working as a sales rep in the baby world. When we moved to Kingston for my husbands job the jobs were limited in my field (social work) so we opened a baby shop on the main strip downtown!
Why did you decide to go into business for yourself?
Finding a flexible job in my field was challenging – I also was not sure I wanted to go back into that world – so I decided to create a job for myself.
What is the most challenging part about being an entrepreneur / working mom?
The balancing act of the never ending work day!
What motivates you?
The baby world is an industry that is always changing. There is always something new and exciting right around the corner.

What is something that you think people should know about you or your business?
