Hip Mommies Does Good.
At Hip Mommies, we feel like we can use our business to do better. We look to partner with suppliers that are good people, that support good causes and that choose to do business ethically. Giving back is a huge part of what we do.
In our own day-to-day operations, we make a concerted effort to minimize waste and to maximize the impact that we can make on our community. Giving back is important to us. On top of doing outreach to families in our area, we partner with other companies and associations throughout the year who we think make a difference.
The Hip Mommies team is committed to making the world a better place, and to doing what we can to support small business and Canadian families.
We are fortunate enough to work with some incredible brands, like ezpz, who have a huge heart, and so a tonne to support the special needs community. Lindsey Laurain, the founder of ezpz, has dedicated resources to make proper eating techniques and awareness of appropriate developmental milestones a focus of their company. More specifically, she hired Dawn Winkelmann, M.S., CCC-SLP, as the Special Needs Program Coordinator and Feeding Specialist. As such, ezpz’s products are tested and approved by Dawn (and other therapists) to ensure that neuro-typical children, as well as kids with special needs, can use our products.
Additionally, ezpz is honored to be part of the Changing the Face of Beauty campaign. This campaign involves highlighting individuals with disabilities as models in the media and advocating for other commercial retailers to do the same. ezpz supports this movement not only because their products have helped children (and adults) with disabilities, but also because we all love seeing the beautiful faces of ezpz customers and models with Down syndrome, autism, low vision, cerebral palsy… just to name a few. We will continue to work with our retailers and other small business parters to support local initiatives in communities across Canada. If you are interested in working with us to help make a difference, please reach out.
