Tips from a pro: Celebrate with a Cake Smash Photoshoot!

Seriously, what is cuter than a baby smashing his or her first birthday cake? And what a fun way it is to celebrate such an important milestone!

To capture the moment, there are many different ways to do it…

WHERE AND WHO?

• Would you like to photograph it by yourself? You can do a cake smash at home or during your baby’s party with family and friends.
• Or do you prefer to get a professional result and book a photographer? Many photographers can come to your home or can offer you to do the photo shoot in their studio!
• Consider this: Is it Spring or Summer? Why don’t you take the opportunity and meet your photographer outside, in a park or at the beach?

WHICH STYLE?

• The traditional Cake smash with the tutu and the giant cupcake?
• A homemade cake with casual clothes?
• A ‘’Pinterest’’ cake smash? (See below)
• The use of some props or something more lifestyle, more natural & simple?

HOW TO PLAN IT?

• If you want to get a professional result, book your photographer few weeks before (or sometimes few months before!)
• If you want to order some accessories/decorations on Etsy, think about the delivery time
• Contact your favourite bakery or do the cake yourself (Thank you Pinterest!)
• And finally, don’t stress! Everybody is going to have a lot of fun!
